If your child is anxious about the chair, cape, or sound of scissors, a little prep at home goes a long way: talk about it beforehand using words like "trim" or "haircut" rather than anything that sounds scary, and bring along a favorite toy, snack, or show to keep them settled while we work.

Once kids are past that first cut, most need a trim every 6–8 weeks to keep bangs out of their eyes and styles looking neat for school photos and everything in between. We're happy to work around a wiggly kid, take a short break if needed, and go at whatever pace keeps the experience a good one.
